The most recent SGR repeal did not contain the extension to delay in the implementation of ICD 10 that many had hoped for. Barring any further political intervention, all HIPAA covered entities must begin to use ICD 10 codes on October 1st, 2015. Are you ready for the change? If not, you run the risk of not being reimbursed for services from this point forward. Payments will not be made on claims where only ICD 9 codes are used.
